2010 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Stewards Hearing Update

Following the 2010 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Race, 14th February, two cars (#38 Allan East and #2 Wilson Brothers Racing) had charges laid against them. Second placed, car #38 of Allan East (T. Symonds, and Des and David Wall) had charges laid for infringements with the Turbo Boost and Tyre rule and 8th place overall car #2 of Wilson Brothers Racing (Castle/Wimmer/Wood) for alleged Turbo Boost infringements.
Since the event a hearing was taken place with CAMS stewards in regards to the above investigations and below is the findings.
1 - The charge laid by Race Control against Car #2 Wilson Brothers Racing has been resolved with the Stewards receiving advice from the Category Technical Commissioner that after some review of the data from the MSE Data Logger the data was inconclusive and therefore the charge has been withdrawn.
2 - The 1st charge laid by Race Control against Car #38, Allan East was heard Wed 03/02/10 at CAMS NSW. Car #38 was found to be in breach of NCR183(ii) and as such was excluded from the results of R14 Bathurst 12 Hour. The Competitor, within the required time frame, lodged an intention to appeal the Stewards finding. The results from R14 Bathurst 12 Hour will remain provisional until such time that this matter is resolved. Inquires on the appeal should be directed to CAMS.
3 - The 2nd charge laid by Race Control against Car # 38 Alan East has been resolved with the The Stewards receiving advice from the Category Technical Commissioner that after some review of the data from the MSE Data Logger the data was inconclusive and therefore the charge has been withdrawn.
4 - The Category Technical Commissioner has advised that the review of a sealed engine from the race has taken longer than expected but should be completed soon.
