Dakar hits security problems
27th December 2007
Following the tragic events that happened in Mauritania on Monday (in which four French tourists, including two children, were robbed and then shot dead while they picnicked at the side of the road), the organisers of the Dakar have decided to go to Nouakchott today, Thursday the 27th of December.
There they will meet the Mauritanian authorities and the members of the French Embassy in order to evaluate the situation and make sure that all the elements are united so that the country can welcome the 2008 Dakar in the best possible security conditions.
