GP2 Parente ahead to Silverstone

This weekend, Alvaro Parente will take part in the fourth round of the GP2 Series season, expecting to transform in good results the good pace that he has been showing since the beginning of the season.

The Portuguese driver arrives to the historic British track confident that he can, once again, fight for the top positions, because, at Turkey, the Ocean Racing Technology car had the pace to end in the top-three and the similarities between the Silverstone circuit and the Turkish circuit are clear. “We believe that we will be competitive, this layout is similar to Istanbul’s and the tires compounds will be the same. It was possible to see that we evolved in the last round and we will keep working in Silverstone in the same way, so we hope we can fight for the top positions”, said the young driver sponsored by Soccerade, Delta, TMN, Aurora Group, Geotur e Cision.

Alvaro Parente has done some exciting races and, with the ambition that characterizes him, arrives at Silverstone more motivated than ever and looking forward to conquer the kind of results that are in the reach of the pace that he has been showing consistently across all season.

 “I know the circuit; I raced here in Formula 3 and in GP2. I think that I’ll be competitive and I’ll give my best to get some good points and to achieve good results. However, everybody knows that the GP2 field is very competitive and that every race and every qualifying is very hard fought”, underlined the twenty-four years old driver.

The Portuguese driver has good track record at Silverstone, having won both 2005 British Formula 3 Championship races on his way to win the that year’s crown.
