GP2 Series: Jerez Test Round Up

8th October 2007

Senna and iSport Set Record Pace at Jerez

Newly crowned GP2 Series teams’ champions iSport International picked up where they left off in Valencia at the first post-season test of the 2007 season in Jerez, Spain, by recording the best lap time on both days. While Adam Carroll set the pace on Thursday, it was Bruno Senna on Friday who set the ultimate fastest lap of the test, a new GP2 Series track record of 1:27.015.

The test was the first opportunity for the teams to try out new drivers for both the GP2 Asia Series, and also for the 2008 GP2 Series. Marco Bonanomi was the fastest of the non-2007 drivers at the test on both days for Minardi Piquet Sports.
