Le Mans 24 Hour race secures new partner

16th February 2012

Luxury shirt-maker Alain Figaret is to create the official collection of the Le Mans 24 Hour race, part of a new licensing agreement with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest which runs the event. It will be the 'official apparel partner' of the Le Mans 24 Hours, which this year will see Toyota take on the defending champions Audi.

The new 'ready-to-wear' collection will celebrate the 80th running of the race, which takes place on 16th and 17th June, and will be launched in May. It will be based on the heritage of the event, notably the 1969 edition of the race which was the last to see drivers running across the track to get into their cars when the race began.

Alain Figaret is already a partner of several historic motorsport events, including the Le Mans Classic.
