Round 2: Midland Automobile Club 'Peter Blankstone' Trial - 14th March

Julian Fack drove his X-Facktor to victory in Sunday's Peter Blankstone Trial at Shelsley Walsh, which attracted a strong 38-car entry. Reigning champion Duncan Stephens, meanwhile, was halted by rear suspension failure after just eight sections.

There were four different leaders during the day, starting with Ian Veale who eventually slipped back to third place at the finish. At lunchtime there was a three-way tie at the head of the field between Veale, Ian Rodman and Ian Wright, but one brilliant climb was enough for Fack to claim victory.

Rodman won the intermediate class from Andy Wilks, while Mark Milne - who had made a long trip from Carlisle - was the top live axle entrant. Sam Fack won the novice class with 24th overall ahead of David Zank.
