Renault Twingo Gordini Renaultsport

25th November 2009

Rather like this. We have done some work for Renault on their heritage section - and gone through hours of Renaultsport footage featuring Gordinis - wondered when the Gordini name would be introduced.

Think small lightweight naturally aspirated little hatches make more sense than dull sounding turbocharged heavy and costly hot hatches - and these Twingos are just a hoot to drive.

Doubtless a load of cynics will say that it needs engine mods and other stuff to make it more befitting the Gordini name - well thinks thats missing the point - you can get Cup Chassis with the car etc - and I think it's far more appropriate to assign the badge to a car which is fun to drive - rather than just a luxed up warm hatch based on a "luke warm" hatch.

Anyway - when they gonna introduce the Alpine brand back?...A110's mmm
