Hillspeed Announces Morris and Rookie Moore For Ginetta Junior

Ginetta Junior Championship team Hillspeed has confirmed a two-car assault on the 2011  - current Winter Champion Seb Morris returns and he will be joined by exciting rookie Struan Moore.

Enjoying a truly sensational debut season in Ginetta Junior last year, the Hathersage team guided Tom Ingram to the 2010 title and then took Morris to the winter crown. This was in addition to also winning the Formula Renaul tBARC Championship with former Ginetta Junior racer Alice Powell.

Marford based Morris, who will continue to be one of the youngest competitors in the category after turning 15-years-of-age at the end of November, will go into the new season as a genuine title contender having progressed superbly during his debut campaign in 2010.

Developing into a consistent front-runner over the course of the year, the Liberty Properties Plc supported racer secured his maiden podium finish during round 18 at Donington Park. He then went on to take two wins on his way to securing the Winter Championship title at Pembrey in Wales.

Moore - no relation to former champions Nigel and Sarah Moore - will make his car racing debut after graduating from the ranks of British Championship KF3 Karting. The Jersey based 15-year-old will be backed through his debut season in Ginetta Junior by primary sponsors Moore Group Ltd.

Beginning his karting career in 2003 at Jersey Kart Club, Moore has enjoyed good success over the past eight years with highlights including winning the 2006 Jersey Kart Club Cadet Championship and the 2007 Jersey Kart Club Junior Mini Max title.

Commenting on Hillspeed's 2011 line-up, team principal Richard Ollerenshaw said: "We're delighted Seb is returning for a second season with us and we're equally pleased to have Struan onboard for his first year in cars,he's a very exciting young prospect. It's always fantastic to be able toannounce a driver so early in the New Year but to have signed deals with two puts us in a healthy position.

"Things couldn't have gone much better for Hillspeed last year. Winning the main championship with Tom (Ingram) and then sealing the winter title with Seb was fantastic. Added to our success in Formula Renault BARC, it really was a dream year. That's in the past now though, we're focusing 100 per cent on the new season. With Seb and Struan, we're confident we have a very strong line-up."

Running as a key support category to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, the Ginetta Junior season will begin at Brands Hatch over theweekend 2nd/3rd April. From there the series will visit Donington Park, Thruxton, Oulton Park, Croft, Snetterton, Knockhill, Rockingham and BrandsHatch again before reaching a conclusion at Silverstone on 15th/16thOctober.
