Round 2: Loughborough Sporting Trial, 24 February

Reigning champion Tom Bricknell and his passenger Sara Dyer opened their 2013 account with victory on the Loughborough Trial, which kicked off the season following the scheduled openers cancellation.

The pair was unfazed by the slippery conditions and led by the midday halt, ultimately winning the round by two marks from 2011 Champion Ian Bell. Completing the podium was Roger Bricknell, the victors step-father.

Duncan Stephens finished fourth just ahead of Josh Veale, who staged a remarkable fightback after dropping to 11th earlier on. The intermediate class victory went to Andy Wilks from George Watson and the novice category was won by John Cole, just ahead of the MSAs Jess Fack in her X-Facktor.
