New Auto GP car gets on track at Vallelunga

The maiden test of the brand-new AutoGP car in 2013 spec is set to be held next Thursday, February 28 and Friday, March 1 at Vallelunga. The series' new machine, presented in late 2012 as a prototype version, was developed through a targeted R&D work that resulted in an interesting and innovative project. The car will be lined-up by Ibiza Racing Team, which confirmed their full-time 2013 bid earlier this month. The driver will be Giuseppe Cipriani, while Fernando Ravarotto and Modesto Benegiamo are respectively appointed with the technical and sporting direction.

Enzo Coloni: We are really looking forward to the maiden run of this car. The prototype version already provided us with some satisfactory results and we're pretty confident for the Vallelunga shake-down in terms of a positive feedback following all the work done in a limited amount of time As they were the first to sign-up for the 2013 season, Ibiza Racing Team received the first car and will be testing with Giuseppe Cipriani. We're set to test new nose, underbody, sidepods, airscope and bonnet. It's going to be a completely new cars.
