Callum Black Adds Date To His Diary

Following the postponement of this weekends (April 6/7) opening round of the British Rally Championship, the Rally North Wales due to weather conditions, Callum Black has added an event to his schedule, the Somerset Stages which take place on April 20th.

The Minehead based event is a round of the BTRDA Gold Star Championship and Callum, along with co-driver James Morgan, will be using it to get some more mileage under their belts in the Millers Oils Citron DS3 but they say that the extensive TV coverage that the championship receives is a further incentive to compete on the event. We were hugely disappointed when Rally North Wales was postponed, says Callum, although given the atrocious weather they have been enduring in the area it is understandable. Doing the Somerset Stages enables us to keep up some momentum going to the Pirelli Rally (the next round of the British Championship). In addition to competing on the Somerset Stages the team are also planning to do some further testing in the Asquith Autosport run Citron, probably during the week after the rally. The next scheduled round of the British Championship, the Pirelli Richard Burns Foundation Rally, based in Carlisle, takes place on May 4/5. A new date for Rally North Wales has still to be announced.
