MSA British Superkart Championship

Rounds 1 & 2: Castle Combe, 6 May

With a win and a second place apiece, reigning champion Paul Platt and 2009 champion James OReilly shared the honours at Castle Combe and are tied atop the points table.

Toby Davis led race one early on before OReilly took over and found himself fending off Platt. They were never separated by more than half a second until clashing on the last lap at Quarry, dropping Platt back.

The fireworks resumed in race two when Platt and OReilly went for the same piece of tarmac at the Esses, with OReilly damaging a tyre barrier and bringing out the red flags. OReilly took the re-start and came within 0.137 seconds of Platt's victory.
