Sean Edwards,26, who is currently leading the Porsche Supercup championship, was a passenger in a Porsche which hit the barriers during a private test session in Australia.

Sean Edwards is the son of former F1 driver Guy Edwards and played the part of his father in the movie Rush

He raced in Formula Renault, GT2, GT3, Le Mans Series and Porsche Supercup and won the Nurburgring 24 Hours this year alongside Bernd Schneider, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Nicki Thiim.
