Michael Schumacher suffered a head injury this morningwhile skiing off piste in the French ski resort of Meribel.

He was air-lifted to hospital in Moutiers before being moved to Grenoble where he had a number of scans.

Christophe Gernignon-Lecomte, director of the Meribel resort, said: "He was a little shaken but conscious."

Schumacher is being cared for by Professor Gerard Saillant, an expert in brain and spine injury.
