Simon Hope and the H&H Classics motor car specialist team are excited to be involved with a new classic car TV series to be shown on Discovery Networks later this year.

In an episode of 'Turbo Pickers', to be screened in the autumn, presenters Dave Southall and Paul Cowland put one of their freshly revitalised cars through H&H's 23 July Buxton sale. As with any auction, anything can happen on the day, so expect some real life drama and all the excitement of the saleroom.

Joining the star of the small screen at the Pavilion Gardens venue are over 100 other classics, all certain to appeal to a broad range of classic car enthusiasts. The catalogue includes entries as varied as a cheeky left-hand drive 1972 Fiat 500 at ‘No Reserve’, to what was once one of the most expensive cars in the world, a 1984 Rolls-Royce Camargue, for £32,000 – 36,000.

Other lots high on many collectors’ wish lists today include a 1963 Land Rover 88 ‘Safari’, at £6000 – 8000, a superb 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL in rare and desirable 4-speed manual specification (£55,000 – 65,000), a Bentley Mk VI Standard Steel Saloon for £25,000 – 30,000, and a 1996 Ford Escort RS Cosworth with just 9000 miles on the clock from new.

The latter, owned by the vendor from new, is finished in Dark Aubergine with Raven leather and carries an estimate of £24,000 - 28,000. Who knows, it could possibly revive Jeremy Clarkson’s early passion for a ‘Cossie’.
