Dick Lovett MINI boss donates MINI Challenge drive with Pirelli‏

BUT GIVES PRIZE TO TOP EMPLOYEE

Pirelli recently concluded a sales promotion competition among its clients, with the key prize being a drive in the MINI Challenge round at Silverstone from 16-17 August – which exclusively uses Pirelli tyres.

The competition was won by Aaron Allnutt of Dick Lovett MINI in Swindon, but he generously gave the prize away to one of his most promising employees, Stuart Kent, who has just passed his ARDS test to gain a racing licence.

Allnutt’s generosity meant that he didn’t walk away empty-handed though. In recognition of his gesture, Pirelli has awarded him a track day at Thruxton – close to the dealership – while BMW (MINI’s parent company) gave him a bottle of Champagne.

Kent, aged 30, is a former driving instructor who now works as a service adviser at Dick Lovett MINI. He’s got so much passion for driving that he spent £1000 on petrol during his first month with a licence, and his ambition is to take part in a sponsored drive to China.

Allnutt said: “All our team have worked very hard on sales, so it’s only right to pass on this generous prize from Pirelli to somebody who I know will really appreciate it. I’m also very grateful to be receiving a track day, not to mention a very nice bottle of Champagne. I’m sure there are going to be plenty of us at Silverstone cheering Stuart on.”

Pirelli UK Managing Director Dominic Sandivasci added: “There was a very enthusiastic take-up for the competition, thanks to a very exciting prize. Congratulations to Aaron, Stuart, and everyone at Dick Lovett MINI and Group Tyre – who supply them with their tyres – for their latest success. Now we look forward to hearing about their adventures on these two iconic British tracks that they will be experiencing shortly.”
