MSA British Sporting Trials Championship

Round 12: Mercian Trial, Long Compton, 19 October

Roland Uglow won the Mercian trial by a single point from Thomas Bricknell, with Ian Veale completing the podium and beating his son, Josh, on a tie-break.

Despite finishing in ninth place, Ian Bell retained the championship lead. The intermediate class was won by Alastair Moffatt – with fellow autotest champion Richard Pinkney in the passenger seat – from Paul Price and Kate Kirk.

Richard Sharp the novice class ahead of Alan Baker, again beating all the intermediate drivers.
