COYS 'True Greats' Auction: The ultimate Christmas present and investment for the future

Coys line up superb auction collection

Seventy classic cars and motorcycles worth over £14 million, and film and motoring posters worth £200,000 are to go under the hammer in London on December 2nd at Coys ‘True Greats’ auction and could be the ultimate Christmas presents that turn into the best investments ever.

Classic cars have outperformed most investments over the last few years and there has been an upsurge in people buying classic cars, motorcycles and poster art instead of more traditional options.

“Our Christmas ‘True Greats’ sale which is being held in Westminster at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Lindley Hall on December 2nd has always been a great success,” said Managing Partner Chris Routledge, “but this time, like last year, we have seen more and more people talking to us about cars and motorcycles as an investment as well as something that they can drive and enjoy.”

“Classic cars have been a phenomenal investment and this appears to be continuing. Now we are seeing the same with motorcycles and with motoring and film posters. We have received enquiries from all over the world, particularly from investors who have not entered these markets before.”

He added: “We have been astounded at how car and movie posters have continued to grow in value. People love the fact that they can see their investment everyday on their wall at home and that it is not just a piece of paper or a note on a computer.”
