MSA British Sporting Trials Championship

Round 5: President's Trophy Trial (Southsea Motor Club), 29 March

Former champion Duncan Stephens won the President's Trophy – his win since November 2012 – ahead of Ian and Josh Veale and Roland Uglow.

At lunch Stephens held a slender one-point lead over another former multi-champion, Julian Fack, who eventually finished fourth after a costly mistake in the final round. Jerome Fack debuted his long awaited MSR but retired after the car lost drive following a promising first round.

Steve Courts (Facksimile) took the Intermediate Class win in sixth overall and was also the top live axle ahead of Nick Speed (Crosslé) who finished in eighth overall. Neil Cromey won the Novice Class in his Sherpa.
