Molitor Racing Systems ready for ADAC GT Masters Season Opener• Premiere with two Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3• Ready to tackle Top-10 places with two strong driver pairings• Two Nissan GT Academy Champions behind the wheelWednesday, 22nd April 2015: New racing cars, a strong field of 25 cars froma total of eight brands, races on five current and previous Formula-Onecircuits, a new tyre supplier and a live TV broadcast station: The 2015 ADACGT Masters season promises to be spectacular. And right in the middle isMolitor Racing Systems with two brand-new Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. TheLonsee-based team is looking ahead optimistically with its four strongdrivers and have one main goal on the horizon: To win the Gentlemen-Trophyand finish in the Top-10 on a regular basis.Following the test drives and preparations for this year, Molitor Racing hasevery reason to be optimistic. Even the driver pairings are well set: The#22 Nissan GT-R is driven by the Absteinacher Dominic Jöst together withteam-mate Florian Scholze. Both secured the Runner-Up Title of last year´sGentlemen-Trophy. The sister car with the #23 has two German GT Academywinners behind the wheel: The 2013 Champion Florian Strauß and his successorMarc Gassner. Strauß secured some outstanding achievements early on thisyear with second place in PRO-AM at the 24 hours of Dubai and mostimportantly the overall victory at the 12 hours of Bathurst (Australia) inFebruary.“Even though this is only my second-ever season as a professional racingdriver, I hope I can contribute to the team and my driver colleagues withsome important information about the Nissan GT-R”, says the Berlin-basedStrauß. “I competed in three 24 hours races last year as well as in theBlancpain Series, therefore the layout of the ADAC GT Masters is totally newto me. But I do think we have a great package and I am very excited aboutour first race.”The new Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 is based upon the FIA Worldchampionship-Car ofthe GT1 and was developed for 2015 by NISMO Japan and JRM Customer Racing.Alongside a better weight distribution and reduced fuel consumption, theNissan GT-R impresses with its reliability and constant speed. The“Godzilla”, as the “beefy” Japanese racing car is nicknamed by its many fansworldwide, features a 3.8 litre V6 Twin-Turbo engine with over 550horsepowers – that makes it one of the most powerful racing cars in the GTMasters field.„The test drives proved that our car is capable of regularly driving intothe Top-10“, says Dominic Jöst. “The grid is extremely competitive and thefront positions will be strongly fought for, but I think we will be able tohave something to say. It will be an incredibly exciting season. The newBentley Continental will compete alongside previous strong competitors suchas the Audi R8, the BMW Z4 and the Corvette Z06.R and all of these will beour strongest opponents.”The GT Masters will also be hosted on two European race tracks, namely theRed Bull Ring in Austria in Spielberg and at the Circuit Park Zandvoort.“The Nissan GT-R likes track layouts with fast corner combinations and theLausitzring and especially the track in Spielberg will be good circuits forus”, says Karsten Molitor, Team Principal Molitor Racing.The ADAC GT Masters Season will start next weekend in Oschersleben with theseason final taking place in Hockenheim on 4th October. All GT Masters raceswill be broadcast live on Sport 1 with a 15-minute race countdown, followedby the race and a review analyse. The first live broadcast will start at01:00pm on Saturday, 25th April.
