Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, Zandvoort Following the traditional race for the Porsche MOBIL 1 Supercup in Silverstone, the team of Iris Dorr and Karsten Molitor are now heading toZandvoort for the Porsche Carrera Cup. Christian Engelhart is currently 29 points behind the Austrian leader Philipp Eng, and is keeping his hopes alive in the run for the title in third position.

“In the past seven races we have seen that the field is extremely close this year and every position is fought for”, says Christian Engelhart, who drives the #14 MRS-Porsche. “Zandvoort is an interesting circuit and I hope, we will achieve a similar result as we did at the Norisring.”

Molitor Racing Systems secured its best team result of the season at the Norisring two weeks ago. Local hero Elia Erhart finished in the points in both races and had his best results in a long time. “It felt so good to get some points and run competitively”, says Erhart. “I am highly motivated now for the coming weekend and I would like to achieve a comparable result.”

The Australian Spike Goddard managed two Top-12 finishes at Norisring and most recently at Silverstone and is looking optimistically ahead to this weekend´s races. “My performance has continuously improved and I feel very comfortable with the car and the tyre management. Zandvoort is a great track and I am really looking forward to racing there”, says the 22-year-old.

The first race will take place on Saturday, 11th July at 14:10 with the second one starting on Sunday, 12th July at 08:50.

24H Series – 24-hours Paul Ricard

The 24-hours-race in Paul Ricard will mark the start to the second half of the 24H Series by Creventic. The race track is suited at the Mediterranean Sea and is looking back on a long tradition. MRS GT Racing will compete with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 991), painted in the colours of the American flag. The regular drivers Charles Putman and Charles Espenlaub will bejoined by David Russell and Jos Fosters.

The last race of the Creventic-Series was a real Nailbiter for the Ulm-based team, because the car was running for victory in the Cup-Class almost until the chequered flag. In the end, MRS had to settle for a fantastic second place and with this good result in the back of their minds, the Americans are now heading to the 24-hours-race.

“Paul Ricard is a brilliant race track and we are all looking forward to compete in the 24 hours”, says Charles Espenlaub. “Over 55 teams have entered for the weekend and since the weather should be nice and warm, the fight for positions will be battled out on track and not decided due to some weather chaos. It is a great mix of different cars and it will be anexciting race.”

The race will start on Saturday, 11th July at 14:30. Live-Streaming at www.24hseries.com.
