Roland Uglow won the Robin Jager Sporting Trial as the season re-commenced at its usual vast venue in Cumbria.

Making the long journey from Cornwall, Uglow, with regular passenger Laura Wilks, drove superbly dropping just three points all day and extending his lead in the MSA British Sporting Trial Championship in what is the start of an extremely busy period.

Ian Bell finished in second place on the event with Simon Kingsley a close third.
