Round 9 & 10: Robin Alexander and David Ayers Sporting Trials, 19-20 September
Roland Uglow won on home ground in both rounds over the weekend starting with a superb drive on the steep hills at Delabole. Dropping nine marks on one hill in the first round he dropped just one further mark all day to hold off the challenge of Ian Veale with John Fack in third.
Fresh from their Saturday triumph, Uglow and passenger Laura Wilks won the David Ayers to record their third championship win in eight days. The day stayed dry but the ground was exceedingly slippery.
Uglow led from start to finish well ahead of second placed Jerome Fack, with daughter Jess in the passenger seat, who won the Intermediate class from a delighted Barry Hogg who had made the long journey south to finish third overall.
