KCMG Composites and Stephane Sarrazin extend partnership

Following their initial partnership during Corsica's round of the FIA World Rally Championship last weekend, Stephane Sarrazin will continue to promote KCMG Composites’ activities across various motorsport platforms all over the world.

Indeed, during the highly-demanding three-day Tour de Corse Rallye de France, Sarrazin managed to record some impressive stage times at the wheel of his KCMG Composites-liveried Ford Fiesta WRC. With his co-driver, Jacques Julien Renucci, the pair consistently and closely tailed the top factory teams, reaching a significant top-three finish on very difficult stages. Unfortunately, a turbo compressor glitch during Day 2 prevented the French pair from finishing in the top-five. However, with an overall finish of ninth position, the duo have paved the way for KCMG Composites to be a top class rally team.

Following this first collaboration, KCMG Composites' Chief Operating Officer Philippe Charissoux will continue to support Sarrazin’s programmes in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and FIA Formula E World Championship. By the end of the year, Sarrazin is looking to promote the KCMG Composites brand in Japan, China and Bahrain through FIA WEC in a Toyota LMP1. Meanwhile, the curtain raiser to the 2016 Formula E campaign will be in Beijing, China, on October 24 when the French ace will represent and compete for the Venturi team.

Philippe Charissoux: “When Paul IP, owner and CEO of KCMG Composites, decided to work with Stephane to promote our activities I never expected such positive feedback. Indeed, as KCMG Composites is developing its business, it was important for us to communicate where the automotive industry is developing its future concepts. Formula E with its full chassis and battery box made from carbon composites, the World Endurance Championship with its full carbon fibre monocoque, and WRC where major car manufacturers are involved; it's a unique opportunity for us to use our know-how and become a major player in those markets.”

Stephane Sarrazin: “When I first met Paul IP during KCMG’s ORECA 05 LMP2 shakedown at Paul Ricard, we had a very pleasant discussion and it appeared clearly that we could work together in various sectors. Indeed, KCMG Composites allowed me to do the World Rally Championship round in Corsica together with a good preparation programme by competing in and winning the French National Championship round at Rally du Mont Blanc. Now we have extended our co-operation and I will be pleased to help KCMG Composites and its team develop their activity through my continuous fights for victory.”
