MSA British Sporting Trials Championship

Round 13: Mercian (Coventry & Warwickshire Motor Club), 18 October

Roland Uglow secured his first MSA British title with his sixth win of the season after a day-long battle with reigning champion John Fack and Ian Wright on the Mercian Trial.

Fack led at the lunch break but a hit a five marker on the last round, while Wright struggled on hill six all day, enabling Uglow to draw ahead.

Richard and Joe Sharp (Cartwright) starred with their best ever result in fourth overall to win the intermediate class. Roger Bricknell (Facksimile) finished ninth and ‘best live axle’.
