MSA British Sporting Trials Championship

Round 1: Roy Fedden (Bristol Motor Club), 8 November

Despite a disappointing first round Roland Uglow and Laura Wilks won the Roy Fedden sporting trial, dropping just four further marks in impressive second and third rounds.

New champion Uglow's points total now includes eight wins this season. Meanwhile steady rounds by Peter Fensom and Julian Fack saw them move up to second and third respectively by the end of the day.

Mike Baker (Crosslé) had his best result to date, winning the Intermediate class in sixth overall. In tenth place was Steve Courts in his Facksimile – the best live axle finisher. Dave Hailes (Facksimile) held on to win the Novice Class on 101 marks from Alan Murton (BAM) on 103. Dave Harris clerked the event for the 50th year.
