Ngebulana continues to deliver in British Formula 3 championship

ANOTHER GOOD WEEKEND FOR SISA AT BRANDS HATCH

South African British Formula 3 racer Sisa Ngebulana had another good championship weekend that saw him score more solid results at second round of the series at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.

Sisa qualified sixth and despite being caught out in changing conditions to drop from fifth to finish 12th in Saturday’s opening race, he fought back to sixth in Sunday’s race 2 and went two better to bring it home fourth in the finale.

“What a pity about that first race yesterday!” Sisa frowned on Sunday evening. “Conditions changed mid race — it starting to drizzle into Surtees — a medium fast cambered left hander and Raoul Hyman out-braked himself and went wide and I just followed him! “Then they shortened the race and I was still back in 12th. "A pity, but that’s racing!

Sunday dawned far better for Ngebulana. “I had a good start in the second race and fought up to fifth, but then I became involved in a bit of a dice with Randle and Al Zubhair and ended up sixth, which I was pretty happy with,” the Jozi youngster explained. “Race 3 was my best of the weekend — fourth was good enough to jump me up two positions to seventh in the championship race.

“There are just five points between Randle in third and me in the championship. “Now I need to work hard and not make any mistakes, find a little place and look sharp, because the top two are starting to creep away a little,” Sisa concluded. “But we have 24 more races so plenty can still happen and I am keen to come back from the next race in a stronger championship position.”

The third round of the British Formula 3 championship is at Rockingham in two weeks time over the Mayday weekend.
