Following the succesful season opener of the ADAC GT Masters, the AMG-Team Zakspeed continues its goal of defending the title, supported by BKK Mobil Oil. The second round of the championship of “Super GT Racing Cars” is taking place at the Sachsenring at the coming weekend, with the team from Niederzissen heading-up the teams championship ranking.

The reigning champions Sebastian Asch and Luca Ludwig celebrated a great victory in their #1 Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the first race of the season two weeks ago. The AMG-Team ZAKSPEED suffered bad luck at the second race, but will be back even stronger for the next round at Sachsenring.

“We win and we loose together as a team and nobody takes responsibility for what happened in Oschersleben”, says Peter Zakowksi, Team Principal AMG-Team ZAKSPEED. “We showed the potential we have this year on a track, where we thought our competitors would be much stronger. We are looking forward to Sachsenring and are planning to extend our lead in the team´s ranking further. The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is a great car and we will have another good race weekend.”

The sister car with the #21 is driven once again by Nicolaj Rogivue, who showed a great performance in Oschersleben. His new team-mate will be the 18-year-old Dane, Nicolai Sylvest.
