2016 Shere Hill Climb: 4th September

Time to get the trusty 7 out and about which has been at www.btbexhausts.co.uk for a new full cage and some other bits - but in truth - not been run since Shere last year!

Details on getting tickets for this fun event below:

This is the fourth year of the event and the entry list is the most exciting so far.

The event takes place up Staple Lane, in the beautiful Surrey Hills near Guildford. The lane is a public road which, will be closed to all other traffic for the day. There are panoramic views across the Surrey countryside, on a clear day London and the Wembley Arch can be seen in the distance. The course runs from close to the junction of Staple Lane with the A246 to the summit of the hill with the paddock located at the base of the hill.

The road ascends by 300 feet over a distance of nearly a mile with a series of challenging corners along the route. Straw bale chicanes are added to the course at various points to increase the difficulty.

There will be 135 cars and a few classic motorcycles running, each completing three runs during the day. They represent an amazing cross section of motoring history from the early days of the internal combustion engine right up to a few modern exotics. Due to unforeseen mechanical problems, that old cars occasionally suffer from, not every car featured on this web site will necessarily be present on the day.The runs will start at 9.30am and finish at around 5.00pm. Spectators are welcome. Entry to the hill climb car park will only be from the A246 end of Staple Lane (GU4 7RL). There will be no access from the Shere end of Staple Lane.

Early bird reduced price spectator tickets are now on sale from www.sherehillclimb.co.ukThey are only available at these prices for a very limited time.

Currently, entry is still from only £10 with under 10 year old’s going free.
