MSA British Sporting Trials Championship

Round 14: Stone Trough Trial, 23 October

Simon Kingsley won his local Stone Trough sporting trial but second place was enough for Roland Uglow and regular passenger Laura Wilks to retain the MSA British Championship title with three rounds to spare.

George Watson had a good day to complete the podium a point ahead of intermediate class winner Richard Sharp, who had Bryan Walker hot on his heels another point behind. Barry Hogg finished runner up in the intermediate class in sixth overall, while Andy Wilks made the trip to Yorkshire for the first time and was left ruing a costly mistake on the first round.

Mike Salton excelled again to finish in eighth as the top live axle competitor and best novice, ahead of Ian Fullwood, who was just outside the top ten overall on a day where all hills were climbed by someone in the entry.

Results1 Simon & Matt Kingsley (Crossle) 9 points lost2 Roland Uglow & Laura Wilks (Crossle) 14 points lost3 George & Victoria Watson (Hamilton) 16 points lost
