Ferrari adopted the compact mid-engined berlinetta concept to the road in 1968, progressing from the 206 GT through the 246 Dino, 308-328, 348 and F355. Rapidly improving technology produced the 360 Modena and carried on at warp speed through the F430 to the 458 Italia, which overflows with Ferrari’s Formula One technology.

Every exterior design cue serves the purpose of enhancing aerodynamic flow, from the aerolastic front wings that bend to reduce drag and improve downforce, to the rear fender contours designed to improve airflow to the rear radiators.
