Great season opening for Andrea Caldarelli in Dayotona 24 Hours

The 26 years-old Pescara based driver drove the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 by Paul Miller Racing until the final 7th place under the chequered flag in GTD. An important result for Andrea, who was already the fastest drive in the warm-up, asthis was his first 24 Hours race and a technical problem, which prevented him to fight for the leadership in the first hours. An electrical issue in fact cost three laps down to the #48, but Andrea, who drove from midnight, brought the car from 23th place to a stable Top-10 position in difficult conditions such as cold temperatures, rain storms and long race neutralization.

Andrea Caldarelli"This was my first experience racing in the United States. It was a great race, but very difficult. We had difficult conditions, especially during the night. It was a challenge for the drivers, and for the team calling the strategy, and the tires, and everything. We had our ups and downs during the race, which is normal for a race like this. We had an issue at the beginning that stopped us for three laps at the beginning that we weren't able to get back in the end. It's a pity, but we did all we could do. We showed we could be quick. The team deserved a better result, but we did a great job and had a great recovery from the start. Thanks to Paul Miller Racing to make me feel welcome in the family and of course to Lamborghini Squadra Corse for the support"
