The Trois-Rivieres Grand Prix earned a reputation as a launch-pad for Gilles Villeneuve, Helio Castroneves and Cristiano Da Matta and even held a round of the American Le Mans Series between 2000 and 2001, but now the famous street circuit plays host to an altogether different form of motorsport, the FIA World Rallycross Championship. With 600 BHP 4WD beasts lining up on the startline and famous names such as Loeb, Solberg, Ekstrom and Block on show, catch all of the action with LIVE coverage on Motorsport.tv.

Now in its fourth year, the World RX of Canada has produced a different winner in each season, with Petter Solberg, Davey Jeanney and Timmy Hansen sharing the spoils so far. Having gone a full year since his last victory, the son of 14-time European Rallycross champion Kenneth Hansen will be eagerly anticipating the return to North America and hoping his unbroken spell of Final appearances this year is finally rewarded with a victory if he is to keep his slim title hopes alive heading into the final four rounds. Compatriot Johan Kristofferson has stolen a march on the field after back-to-back wins in Norway and Sweden put him 31 points ahead of PSRX Volkswagen Sweden team-mate Solberg – can he go for three in a row?

There’s plenty more LIVE coverage where that came from, as the FIM MXGP World Championship heads to Lommel in Belgium, home territory for Clement Desalle. The Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team rider currently sits second in points after a brace of second places last time out in the Czech Republic, which put some breathing space between himself and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Gautier Paulin. However, Desalle cannot afford to allow the comforts of home to distract him, with MX2 champion Jeffrey Herlings also in the fight and a fit-again Tim Gajser back on song, having won in Loket for the first time since Italy in April. Having shared the honours in Belgium last year with Max Nagl, could the Slovenian spoil Desalle’s home-coming parade?

In a double-bill of LIVE motorcycle racing, don’t miss coverage of the Moto GP Rookies Cup from Brno, as Can Oncu attempts to follow in the footsteps of inaugural champion Johann Zarco and reach the pinnacle of Moto GP. With three wins to his name in his first season, Oncu is impressing so far and could yet become the first Turkish rider to win the championship if he can continue to ward off the attentions of Spaniard Aleix Viu.

Next it’s over to ‘the paperclip’ for round eight of the Australian Supercars from Queensland Raceway. While appearing to be simple, the six-corner layout is anything but, with the fast Turn 1 and bumpy Turn 2 inviting drivers to overstep the mark, before a superb overtaking opportunity into the Turn 3 hairpin. Craig Lowndes is the master of Queensland, having won the event six times in the past, but could the Triple Eight veteran roll back the years to interrupt DJR Penske’s Scott McLaughlin’s streak of wins? Having won five times and only once finished lower than second since May, the Kiwi is in the form of his life, but is still only six points ahead of six-time champion Jamie Whincup, who is only two victories short of Lowndes’ all-time winning record...

The NASCAR Xfinity Series pays a second visit to the 1.4km Iowa Speedway short-track in a little over a month, with 19-year-old William Byron hoping to continue his recent run of form. The Hendrick protégé took his first victory on the championship’s last appearance at Iowa before going on to add further wins at Daytona and Indianapolis to pile the pressure on JR Motorsports team-mate Elliott Sadler in the title chase, but with Modified star Ryan Preece returning to the Joe Gibbs #20 Toyota, could Byron make it a fourth win from six races?

But that’s not all! Catch highlights from the FIA World Rally Championship Rally Finland, as Sebastien Ogier sought to bounce back from a pre-event testing shunt and win the ‘1000 Lakes’ for a second time, while Porsche Supercup championship leader Michael Ammermuller sought to re-assert his dominance at the Hungaroring after being kept off the top step of the podium in Austria by Matt Campbell and again at Silverstone by Dennis Olsen. With gentlemen GT3 racing action from the Blancpain GT Sports Club at Spa-Francorchamps, the Chateau Impney Hillclimb plus more FIM Sidecarcross mayhem from Belgium added in for good measure, your motorsport demands should be well catered-for…
