Model Cebera

The TVR Cerbera was manufactured between 1996 and 2003. The name is derived from ‘Cerberus’, the three-headed beast of Greek legend that guarded the entrance of Hades. The car itself was designed from the start as a four-seater. The rear seats are smaller than the front, a design commonly referred to as a ‘2+2’. However, the interior is designed so that the passenger seat can slide farther forward than the driver’s seat. This allows more room for the person sitting behind the front passenger. TVR have referred to this as a ‘3+1’ design. TVR maintained its tradition of building cars that were not only exceptionally powerful but also very light for their size and power output. Like all TVRs of the Peter Wheeler era, the Cerbera had a long-travel throttle to compensate for the lack of electronic traction-control and very sharp steering.

Although series production ended in 2003, a handful of cars were registered the following year, and this stunning Cerbera is one of those few very late examples. The late Mark III Final Edition models featured a distinctive and unique arrangement for the front lights, in addition to a number of other detail alterations, and represented the pinnacle in development of TVR’s flagship supercar.

Presented In Metallic Titanium with a Mulberry/Shadow Grey hide interior, our example benefits from a full documented service record. Notably the engine enjoyed an overhaul at 17,000 miles, the brakes have been boosted with braided hoses, and the suspension has been upgraded with the fitting of a Protech 400 Series Coil-Over kit which was added in the summer of 2017. Importantly the chassis has seen an inspection and is shown to be in excellent condition,

Supplied with an MOT Until September 2018, both sets of keys, original owners manual, books, and service invoices, this is an exemplary example of one of the fastest, most focussed TVRs of the modern era. A unique car and a truly tempting proposition.
