STOKE have made local youngster Joe Alcock their first signing for the 2018 National League season.
Alcock, 18, rode at Loomer Road for Carmarthen in the Midland Development League this year, and picked up NL guest bookings for the Potters and other clubs during the campaign.
He said: “I’m delighted to have signed for my hometown club. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do since I rode around the Loomer Road track at the age of seven, and that reality has come true. I cannot wait to get started.”
Promoter Dave Tattum added: “I’ve known Joe for a long time and he has come on leaps and bounds this season, and I’m really pleased that we have a local lad in the team for next year.”
