Mercedes return for the 1952 Le Mans 24 Hours
Motorsport.tv’s look at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: The Great History continues this weekend, as we reach the 1952 edition of the French endurance classic!

The 20th Le Mans 24 Hours saw Mercedes return to the fray, with their distinctive gull-winged W194. The Silver Arrows arrival at La Sarthe wouldn’t be a walkover however, as 1951 winners Jaguar, a first factory entry from Ferrari, and a host of self built machines would be standing in their way. Amongst them, was Pierre Levegh, who was looking to win the race solo in a Talbot-Lago, but would the feat prove too much for the Frenchman?
