TV coverage confirmed for Legends Cars National Championship

Organisers of the Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres have confirmed the series will continue to benefit from strong television coverage in 2018 to further boost the attractiveness of the already hugely popular category.

With a new yet-to-be-revealed series sponsor enabling TV coverage to be achieved from the five race meetings where the Legends Cars will run as support to the British Truck Racing Championship, the series will once again appear this year on digital satellite and cable channel Motorsport TV.

Digitex Television, which filmed selected rounds last season through partnerships with sponsors Guttercrest and WT Building Services, will produce all of the content for the 2018 broadcasts which will feature as part of the Last Lap magazine programme.

Additionally, the race action will also be available on the British Automobile Racing Club’s dedicated online platform ‘BARC TV’ during the year, further increasing the value to Legends Cars National Championship with MRF competitors, teams and commercial partners.

The five race meetings where the Legends Cars will run on the support package to the British Truck Racing Championship are the Brands Hatch event at the beginning of April, Donington Park in July, Snetterton in September, Pembrey in October and the season finale at Brands in early November.

“It’s absolutely fantastic news for everyone linked to the championship we can confirm at least five of our nine race meetings will have some television coverage this year”, said Phil Cooper, owner of the Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres, “The final details will be confirmed in due course, along with the name of the sponsor who is making everything possible.

“The coverage we received last year through the programmes sponsored by Guttercrest and WT Building Services was outstanding, and a huge bonus for the drivers, teams and all-round exposure of the championship. We’re thrilled to be bringing more Legends Cars action to everyone’s TV screens in 2018, and online too, and hopefully providing the action to an even wider audience.”

Round one of the Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres will take place on Saturday, 17th March, at Cheshire’s Oulton Park. Running across nine weekends, with a total of 51 races, the season will conclude on 3rd/4th November at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in Kent.
