Richardson Racing re-signs Alex Toth-Jones for Ginetta GT5 Challenge

Richardson Racing has confirmed that it has re-signed Alex Toth-Jones for the 2018 Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge season.

Alex will be part of a new look line-up for the Corby-based team - which announced the signing of series rookie Charlie Martin last month.

Bradford racer Alex showed his pace on track throughout the 2017 season with a number of top ten results, and came close to securing a maiden podium in the highly competitive one-make series.

Confirming his place on the grid for the new campaign, Alex will aim to put his past experience in the series to good use to challenge regularly towards the front of the field across a seven round, 17 race schedule that includes two meetings alongside the British Touring Car Championship and an overseas meeting at the famous Spa circuit in Belgium.

Alex’s return to the championship has been made possible thanks to the continued support of existing sponsors Lodestone Projects and Proceed Group, as well as new headline sponsor Tailored Resourcing & Accountancy; which offers a range of cost effective services to contractors, freelancers and small business owners.

“I’m delighted to confirm that I’ll be staying with the Richardson Racing team for 2018 and the aim this season has to be to fight towards the sharp end in the championship,” he said. “It’s great that we’ve been able to bring in a new sponsor in Tailored Resourcing & Accountancy alongside our existing backers, and I feel we are in a good position heading into the new campaign.

“Last year we were quick enough to have taken at least a podium finish, and I’m hoping to push for the top three places and fight for my first win this season.

“I certainly feel I’m coming back stronger and more determined, and with the additional experience under my belt – and a great team behind me – I’m ready to take the fight to the rest of the grid.”
