LAKESIDE’S Community Programme have announced their Club Charity arrangement for 2018 with Teddies for Loving Care (TLC).
The Hammers will support the charity by providing promotional opportunities and air fence advertising space at the track and by strategically placing the TLC logo on each of the riders’ bibs, as well as facilitating fund-raising on race-nights and at off-track events.
Community Liaison Manager Mark Sexton said: “After our very successful four-year partnership with Little Havens Children Hospice, we are delighted to have found the opportunity to support another local charity that has the health and well-being of children at its core.
“We are certain that our new relationship will benefit children throughout Essex and our visible support for TLC fundraising efforts means that we are equally confident that children up and down the UK will benefit from our association with Teddies for Loving Care.”

SHEFFIELD favourites Kyle Howarth and Josh Bates have been added to the line-up for Simon Stead’s Farewell Meeting.
Stead officially brings the curtain down on his glittering racing career at Owlerton on Sunday March 25, with Howarth and Bates included after helping the Tigers to the SGB Championship title under Stead’s management last season.
Stead said: “I’ve got to include Kyle and Josh because they are true entertainers. Sometimes as a team manager I wish they would ride in a more easy, simple way but they always give it everything they’ve got on the bike and the fans love them.
“They’re great additions to my meeting and I know they’ll be getting stuck in, they won’t mind the fact they are up against the best riders in the world because they’ll see it as a challenge.”
