BELLE Vue youngster Kyle Bickley has marked his 16th birthday by becoming an asset of the club.
Bickley, who won the National League with the Colts in 2017 and will also race for Workington in the SGB Championship this season, signed a letter of intent in February 2016 expressing his desire to join the Manchester outfit when he became eligible.
Said Bickley: “A lot has happened in the two years since I signed that letter. It feels like only yesterday really, and now to have signed as a full Belle Vue asset is a dream come true.
“It means so much to me to be a part of such an historic club. From being their mascot to joining the Colts last year, I’ve enjoyed every minute and I’m really looking forward to the new season.
“The club is so well-run and the stadium is magnificent. The management are fantastic and the fans are some of the best in the country. A rider in my position couldn’t ask for more than that.”

TREBLE British Champion Chris Harris has joined the line-up for Simon Stead’s Farewell Meeting at Sheffield on March 25.
GB racer Harris was a team-mate of Stead at Coventry in 2008, whilst another of his former clubs is represented with the appearance of Swindon’s French star David Bellego. Stead was an Elite League title winner with the Robins in 2012.
Stead said: “Bomber has been a loyal servant to British Speedway and I’m sure he’s got some good years left in him, he’s still a tough competitor and he’ll score lots of points for Glasgow in the Championship.
“David is a class act, he turned out to be one of the main reasons behind (Swindon) winning the league last season because he went on an amazing run of form. I’m delighted to have him in my meeting.”
