Patrick Schott Signs For MP Motorsport's Formula 4 Squad

Patrick Schott, from Switzerland, has been signed by MP Motorsport to race in this season’s Northern European Zone and Spanish Formula 4 Championships - Schott moves up from karting to join the Dutch team for his first season in car racing.

Mostly competing in Swiss national karting before stepping up for his single-seater debut this year with MP Motorsport, Schott joins the squad as team-mate to Isaac Blomqvist who agreed terms with the team in February.

"I am very pleased to compete this year with a team as experienced and victorious as MP Motorsport", said Schott, "It’s a championship-winning team in Formula 4 that will allow me to best display my skllls."

Schott's manager, François Frigola, added: "Klausen Racing is happy to promote and manage Patrick's career with the goal of bringing him to the pinnacle of Swiss motorsport."

Vice-Champion in the 2015 Swiss Karting Championship, after finishing third in the country’s KF3 championship in 2014, Schott also made several appearances in the WSK Euroseries and the Italian Karting Championship. He went on to test in Formula Renault 2.0 before deciding to make his single-seater debut in Formula 4.
