GLASGOW have signed Jack Thomas as their replacement for Jack Parkinson-Blackburn.
The 18-year-old, who rides for Kent in the National League, will be stepping up to full Championship level for the first time with the Tigers.
Thomas said: “I had some opportunities to ride in the Championship last year but didn't want to run before I could walk, so I kept a watch on it, took some guest bookings and had a taste of it.
“But it's the next step up the ladder. I'm just trying to keep working my way up as far as I can get.
”I've had good races with some of the other boys at reserve in the Championship and I think I'm on a par with a lot of them. I can give it my best and hopefully do what I've done in the National League.”

EDINBURGH have named Erik Riss as their new captain for the 2018 season.
Riss takes over from Sam Masters, who is not racing in the Championship this year, and will line up at No.5 in the Monarchs’ riding order for the Scottish Cup trip to Glasgow on Friday.
He said: “I’m looking forward to it. It will be a little bit different as it’s not just about looking after myself now, I will be more involved with the other guys and the stuff a captain needs to do - but this doesn’t worry me, and I can’t wait to get started.”

COVENTRY have moved quickly to snap up Connor Mountain as their new No.1.
The Bees needed to make a new signing after Jack Parkinson-Blackburn’s decision to quit the sport left them a rider short heading into the National League campaign.
Promoter Mick Horton said: “Connor approached me several weeks ago about joining us, but unfortunately for him we’d just completed our team at that stage.
“It was a shame for him that he missed out, but thankfully for us he was still available when the situation changed with the events of late.
“Connor is without doubt a recognised No.1 in the National League, and we’re very pleased to have him on board.

EASTBOURNE have called off their season-opening meeting on Saturday due to track conditions at Arlington.
The Eagles had been set to face several of their former team members in the Malcolm Cole Memorial Cup but the poor weather in March has hastened the decision.
Chairman Martin Dugard said: “A lot of damage has been done by monthly stock car meetings held throughout the winter and we cannot get the track ready in time.
“The freezing weather with snow last weekend was the last straw. Frost is still coming out of the circuit and it is saturated.
“With more rain forecast between now and Saturday, the only realistic decision we could make was to call the meeting off.”
