What to watch on Motorsport.tv this weekend: 6/7/8 April

WRC returns to Europe for 46th Tour de Corse
After nearly a month’s break, the FIA World Rally Championship returns this weekend from the French island of Corsica, with Motorsport.tv bringing you highlights from all three days!
 
Last time out in Mexico, Sebastien Ogier reasserted himself at the head of the standings, taking victory ahead of Dani Sordo and Kris Meeke. 2017 Tour de Corse winner Thierry Neuville will be hoping to get his title challenge back on track after enduring a difficult weekend in Latin America. Another storyline from Mexico was the return of Sebastien Loeb, the Citroen driver looking as strong as ever, and is sure to be a factor in his home event.
 
Along with coverage of the 2018 event, Motorsport.tv will be delving into the Duke Video archives for some Classic FIA World Rally Championship action, looking back at the 1986, 1988 and 1991 editions of the Corsica Rally, as teams representing Audi, Lancia, Toyota, Ford and Peugeot took on the twisty mountain roads.

Italy plays host to the fourth round of the 2018 FIM World Motocross Championship, and Motorsport.tv will be bringing you LIVE coverage of both MXGP and MX2 races. Local hero, and winner last time out in Spain, Tony Cairoli will be hoping to put some distance between himself and Red Bull KTM team-mate Jeffrey Herlings, as the duo arrive in Trentino level on points.


Peter Windsor sits down with Sir Jackie Stewart & CIV opener from Misano LIVE
The fourth instalment of The Windsor Interviews sees motorsport personality Peter Windsor meet triple Formula One drivers’ champion Sir Jackie Stewart. The Scotsman made 99 F1 starts in his career, before going on to run his eponymously named team in the late 1990s.
 
Motorsport.tv brings you more LIVE motorcycle racing this weekend courtesy of the Italian Road Racing Championship from Misano. It’s the season-opener for all four categories at the Rimini Province circuit, with Michele Pirro looking to build on his near-perfect 2017 season in the Superbike class, while in Moto3, the next generation of MotoGP riders will be looking to make a name for themselves.


History made in British GT curtain raiser, and the 1988 Le Mans 24 Hours
Finishing off the weekend, there are highlights of a rain-affected British GT Championship opening round from Oulton Park, and a look back at the 1988 edition of the French endurance classic in the 24 Hours of Le Mans: The Great History.

MXGP of Italy, VLN from the Green Hell, GT4 European action & DIRT World Championships
Head over to Motorsport.tv’s On Demand service this weekend for live coverage of the fourth round of the FIM World Motocross Championship from Italy, and the second round of the 2018 VLN, as more GT and touring car teams take to the mighty Nurburgring Nordschleife. 

There’s also the season-opening GT4 European Series from Zolder, Belgium, with a staggering 44 entrants set to go head-to-head in two one-hour sprint races, as well as the quarter-finals of the Volkswagen R DIRT World Championships in association with Motorsport Network, for the top eSports gamers!
