MSA British Autotest Championship: Round 2: Foxley Autotest

8 April

Alastair Moffatt returned to the top of the points table, with a victory on Herefordshire Motor Club’s Foxley Autotest.

Championship leader Malcolm Livingston took an immediate five-second lead after the first tests, before a broken radius arm led to instant retirement. Dave Evans held a three-second lead over Moffatt going into the afternoon’s tests.

The afternoon session saw Evans pick up a maximum penalty for a wrong test, leaving Moffatt with a clear overall lead. Evans finished in second place, with John Moffatt’s Westfield completing the top three. Warren Gillespie’s Vauxhall Nova won the saloon car class, and Liam Rollings’ Mini the road-going class.
