Porsche is no stranger to anniversary celebrations, with 50 years of the 911 Turbo and 25 years of the 911 GT3 being just two of the most recent milestones

However, Porsche Cars GB is especially pleased to join in the celebrations for a very special 30th birthday, and is helping its charity partner, Place2Be, mark its third decade with a special donation

Since the partnership between Porsche Cars GB and Place2Be began in 2020, over £250,000 has been raised by the luxury sports car company for the children’s mental health charity through a series of fundraising activities and events over the past four years
Reading, Great Britain. This incredible achievement of reaching the quarter of a million pounds milestone marks a significant step in the continuing partnership, which is built on a foundation of collaboration, commitment, and a shared vision of supporting children and young people’s mental health.

The relationship between Porsche Cars GB and Place2Be extends far beyond just financial support. From the outset of their partnership, Porsche Cars GB has been deeply involved in the charity’s mission, engaging in various initiatives and events that have raised funds and awareness for children's mental health.

Employees of Porsche Cars GB have participated in a range of activities, including sponsored sporting events, quiz nights, filling a Porsche Boxster with toys, visiting local schools to provide career and interview advice, and hosting LEGO building workshops. The funds raised from these events directly support the vital work of Place2Be, ensuring that more children across the UK have access to mental health services and support within their schools.

Krishan Bodhani, CEO at Porsche Cars GB, expressed his excitement over the achievement: “Reaching the milestone of raising over £250,000 for Place2Be is a testament to the dedication of our whole team at Porsche Cars GB. As Place2Be celebrates its 30th anniversary, we are both proud and privileged to contribute to their mission. Together, we are not just supporting a charity; we are investing in the well-being and future of countless young lives across the UK.”

Founded in 1994, Place2Be has become one of the UK’s leading providers of school-based mental health services, working with 650 schools to provide crucial support to children, families, and school staff. Porsche Cars GB is honoured to be part of the charity’s special anniversary year, and contributing to its ongoing success and growth.

Place2Be CEO, Catherine Roche, added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Porsche as a Pioneer supporter, recognising over £250,000 of momentous support, at such a special time for Place2Be. As we mark our 30th anniversary, we are so grateful for the support Porsche has given us since 2020, enabling Place2Be to reach thousands of children and young people with our vital mental health services. We look forward to continuing to grow this fantastic partnership powered by Porsche’s deep commitment to children’s mental health and well-being.”

As Place2Be celebrates three decades of service, Porsche Cars GB remains committed to supporting the charity’s mission. With continued efforts, both organisations look forward to creating a brighter future for children across the UK, providing them with the mental health support they need to flourish.
