An unexpected Indian Summer provided pleasant bright days and the late spring temperatures helped bring a large audience of onlookers and fans to the roads.

Much appreciated were the night Time Trials at Atoka Chase and the 1vs1 challenge, as well as the tribute to the White House, Capitol Hill and National Mall before the stop at the Italian Embassy, where the participants met the Ambassador, Mariangela Zappia, in the front row to do the honors and welcome them on Italian soil in the heart of Washington DC.
