 THE START OF THE TRANSORIENTALE10,000kms, 17 days, 3 countries… The start of the Transorientale takes place on Thursday 12 June in St Petersburg, Russia, and the race will finish on Saturday 28 June, in Beijing. This incredible journey will invoke feelings of adventure perfectly matched with the highest tradition of the legendary rally-raids. Organised by René Metge and Lagardère Sports, Motors TV is the exclusive pan European broadcaster of the Transorientale, with the ‘High Speed Television’ channel bringing the very best coverage of this first edition of the race. The events’ preview show will present the route and information on the countries crossed, while during the race a daily 26 minute programme will include the best footage of each day from 6.30pm. In 2008 Motors TV is the exclusive live broadcaster of the World Motocross MX2 Championship and also features delayed-as-live coverage of the MX1 races. In June, no less than three GPs are scheduled, including the French round in Saint Jean d’Angély, near La Rochelle. Motors TV has the best analysis of the races with all our commentary team being ex-world motocross champions: Mickaël Pichon, Yves Demaria, Frédéric Bolley and Christophe Pourcel.

In addition, June will see the arrival of the American Motocross Championship, the famous AMA MX, on Motors TV’s schedule. Two categories are featured: Open and Lites.

June sees two not to be missed meetings. The V8s visit the Sandown circuit on Sunday 8 June. This is this track that used to host the endurance race directly prior to the famous Bathurst 1000km although this year, it reverts to a normal meeting with 3 action-packed sprint races!

The DTM heads to Nüremberg and the so-called Norisring circuit. The championship’s equivalent of Monaco: a street circuit, which always welcomes a host of famous non-motor racing stars and always makes for thrilling battles on track! 100,000 spectators are eagerly waiting for this race…
