Preparations are being put into place at Turbo Dynamics sponsored, Santa Pod Raceway for this year's Performance Tuning and Modified (PTM) Show, whichwill take place on Sunday, 11th May.
Back for its second year, the event focuses on Santa Pod's famous ¼ mile dragstrip with some of Europe's fastest modified cars competing to have the best time. The show, which is also Round 1 of the HKS Drag Series, will feature cars accelerating from 0-170MPH in just eight seconds.
The highly anticipated Euro Sports Compact race will also be kicking off, featuring some of Europe's quickest VW, MG and Lancia street cars. These cars will be going head to head and hitting speeds over 130MPH in just 10 seconds to fight out their claim to be The Fastest European Car in the UK.
Further show highlights will include demos from some of the world's fastest cars with the famed Fireforce Jet Car scheduled to appear. Anticipated to be one of the day's biggest draws, this amazing car is powered by three jets and can achieve jaw-dropping speeds of up to 300MPH. Doorslammer Dragster Demos and professional Drifting Shows are also planned for the day, with passenger rides available between shows in the Drifting Arena.
On top of all this there will be a Run What Ya Brung competition where the general public can race their cars on the track and receive a performance print out. As long as entrants have a driving licence, they can personally test their cars out on the ¼ mile strip for just £15. Power and torque readouts will also be available from Horsepower Heroes who will be attendingwith their Rapid GB Dyno.
Santa Pod's Handling Circuit will be open as well, where performance enthusiasts will be able to put their handling and speed skills to the test in their own cars for free. This year, Santa Pod Raceway has announced that they will be awarding the best driver with a trophy!
Meanwhile off track, Santa Pod Raceway's sponsors, Turbo Dynamics will be present with one of their stunning TD Girls, Louisa who will be handing out goodie bags and posing for photographs. As one of the leading combined Turbocharger Remanufacturer and Hybrid Turbocharger Designers in the world, Turbo Dynamics will have staff on-hand at the show to advise car owners about turbochargers, performance products and tuning.

Those attending The PTM Show can camp at Santa Pod over the weekend should they want to spread the enjoyment out or participate in any of the Run What Ya Brung Competitions also taking place on Saturday. A Fun Fair, bar, catering facilities and evening entertainment will be laid on for those staying.
