The GP2 Main Series is set to be back to one of the highlights of the season, and Trident Racing is ready to enter the incredibly renowned Monte Carlo Grand Prix as the defending Champion. The team, owned by Maurizio Salvadori, will be experiencing a particular weekend, as popular magazine GQ will follow the true life of a racecar driver.
Journalist Angelo Pannofin and photographer Maurizio Salvadori, will follow the weekend of Ho Pin Tung and realize a day-by-day reportage from his on and off-track activity. Trident Racing is coming to the Principality with a good feeling and, after rejoining a positive and well-known environment, with the hope to repeat the success scored last season with Pastor Maldonado. The busy time frame of the Monte Carlo weekend will force a change in the usual race schedule. The first practice session is planned to take place on Thursday at 12:00, followed by qualifying at 16:00. Drivers will be given way on Friday at 11:15 for the first race of the weekend, on a 40-lap distance. 30-lap long Race 2 will start on Saturday at 16:00. All the times are GMT+1.Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Managing Director"The Monaco weekend is set to be even more interesting and fascinating for Trident Racing, as Ho Pin Tung will be followed all-weekend long by a journalist and a photographer of monthly magazine GQ. They`ll be dedicating an important space about the driver`s true life through a race weekend. We`re really proud to be part of such an interesting initiative. I think fans will be given the possibility to have an insider`s look behind the scenes of our racing life, and the coincidence with the Monte Carlo Grand Prix will add a taste of history, glamour and lifestyle. From a sporting point of view, Trident will try to repeat one of its best moments in the history, with the 2007 GP victory by Pastor Maldonado. That will be surely encouraging for Mike and Ho Pin, who`ll have two chances to take win this season”.GQ Is a monthly men`s magazine about fashion, style and men`s culture, launched in 1929 in America. Since then, many international editions followed, including an Italian one that evolved through years and finally managed to attract the general public thanks to well-targeted stories and coverages, and to the direction of Michele Lupi.
