Team Rockingham in action on home soil

TEAM Rockingham will be hoping for a bumper home crowd as the Pickup Truck Championship returns to the Northamptonshire circuit over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The pickup trucks are on the supporting bill for the British F3 International Series & Avon Tyres British GT Championship race meeting at Rockingham on Monday (May 26).

Antony Hawkins in his #98 special liveried Rockingham pickup truck will be aiming to improve on his previous outing after finishing both races in seventh place. He is currently in ninth overall in the championship on 625 points.

In addition to the trucks racing on the Oval, there will be a full programme of support races from the British Formula Ford and Volkswagen Racing Cup Championships on the International Super Sports Car Circuit.

The entertainment won’t be confined to the track and there will be plenty for all the family to enjoy, including face painters, a temporary tattooist, trade stands and the traditional pit lane walkabout.

Tickets are now available on the gate only. Monday race day adult tickets cost £20 and weekend passes are priced at only £25. Children aged 15 and under get in free.

One lucky fan attending Rockingham over the Bank Holiday weekend will get a taste of life in the fast lane – if they find a golden ticket in their programme.

Rockingham and Avon Tyres are offering one lucky winner and a friend the opportunity to upgrade to luxury VIP hospitality on race day. Not only will they receive star treatment, but they will also enjoy a thrilling high-speed passenger ride in the stunning GT40.

The golden ticket has been hidden inside a copy of the official event programme. For the chance to win, fans just need to buy a programme on the day.
